Pigs might fly! Hanging sentiment using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having lovely weekends.  I’m making the most of my days off and spending them crafting and walking (not at the same time!).

I’m sharing a hanging sentiment I made for my friend today.  I recently did a crafting event at work to encourage the patients’ to try different skills. Whilst doing this my friend saw the ‘This Little Piggy’ stamp set and said how much she loved the quote, and an idea was born!

Who say’s pigs can only be pink?! I really enjoyed trying different colours with these little piggies.  I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and added different colours using an aqua painter, drying the paper in between to ensure the colours didn’t become a muddy mess!

The Wooden Texture DSP is just amazing! Despite this being made out of card the wooden paper gives it a sturdier appearance.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s project as much as I enjoyed making it!

Thanks for popping by!

Snowflake kisses card made using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

I’m excited to share this make with you all today because I’m really pleased with how it turned out! I fell in love with another crafters card a few years ago, and when making this one I remembered that design and decided to use it as my inspiration.

The Stamparatus came in handy when creating the background as I wanted all the cards to match.  Albeit I did change up the front layers for the end product!

I decided to step away from the traditional colours for Christmas and go for a more modern theme.

The glitter spots are made using the handheld circle punch and saving the off cuts, then gluing them to the card.  I then added Rhinestones to create more dimension.

How cute are those snowflakes?!

Wishing you all a fantastic day!

Lilypad Lake Birthday wishes using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi Guys!

It was my friends birthday at the end of July and I wanted to send her something that reflects her love of the outdoors, Lilypad Lake was the perfect bundle to do this.

I water coloured the background, creating an ombre effect with three different shades of blue.  I then used the lighter of the blues, Balmy Blue, for the waves.

The sun was created by dabbing yellow over the circle to create the ‘rays of light’.

Simple wishes card using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

Happy Saturday! What are your plans for the weekend? My partner and I are doing all sorts of adventure activities lately, from wild swimming, to go karting, so I don’t know what he has planned this weekend!

This card was inspired by one I saw at the back of the annual catalogue, I loved the butterflies and decided to mimic that in my card.

I coloured the stamped images in with the watercolour pencils and then went over with a blender pen so that it was a smooth image.

The butterflies were stamped and left uncoloured on the ‘Crumb Cake’ base and then I separately stamped another butterfly image and coloured it in with some Craft Stampin’ ink, which I also used to add highlights to the baskets.

You’ll notice that there are other colours I’ve used that are not in the annual catalogue, these are the fabulous new release colours as part of the August special offer.  If, like me, you love water colouring, they’re definitely worth investing in.

I hope you like my crafty share today.  Enjoy your weekend!

Sparkly Christmas using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi guys!

I know, I know, the dreaded ‘C’ word! But I thought given how pants I was at getting my cards done last year, I best get a wiggle on this year!

When I received the ‘Swirly Frames’ stamp set at On Stage in April this idea came into my head but I was not sure how to get the stars into it, until I got the ‘Twinkle Builder’ Punch.

I think I’ll be doing a few cards like this in the lead up to the festivities in various colours.

I added the ribbon to the card to add another layer of texture.  I think that this could be stepped up again and have more elements added to it, such as a water coloured background.

My Wink of Stella is still being over zealous in it’s distribution! Any tips on getting it to calm down are welcome!

Thanks for dropping by!
