Halloween smarties treat

Hey everyone!

Today’s project is something super cute that I can’t wait to hand out on Halloween!

I’ve been wanting to use the test tubes and the Smarties mini’s are the perfect size for them.

I used the layering circle framelits to create the tag and then stamped the ‘bird ghost’ image and coloured in with Stampin’ Blends.

The tags were then tied to the test tube with glittered black organza ribbon.

I have created labels for the back of the tags with dietary warnings and the best before date, just in case!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project! You can buy all the products featured for the tags by heading over to my online store, just click on the link below to go there!

Notes of kindness

Hey everyone!

So the planning went okay this weekend, I just need to get better with my craft planning as that’s the only one I didn’t do. I discovered “Mrs Hinch” cleaning Instagram page this weekend and I blitzed my kitchen and bathroom as a result, hence no crafting!

Last weekend I shared me putting the Notes of Kindness Kit over on my Facebook page and wanted to share the final result.

This kit had to be the quickest one I’ve put together! The background embellishments were all ready to peel and stick which made it so easy to pull together.

The great thing about the kits is that they’re aimed at all levels of capabilities, I may even attempt to get my mum to make one with me! I did this in an afternoon and now have 20 cards ready to send!

If you want to make your own kit up you can purchase it by clicking the links below 🙂

Frosted floral meets floral frames to send some love

Hi everyone!

What a week! I am EXHAUSTED! Trying to do my full time job in less hours, college, crafting, and trying to have a personal life is taking it’s toll! So this weekend I am going to take charge and plan, plan, plan!

Being mindful of my mental health made me think of what would brighten up someones day? and I thought of this cute mini care package.

The Frosted Florals DSP is so delicate and subtle that is was the obvious match for a care package.  I then lined the tin lid and DSP on the main body with ‘Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon’.  This ribbon is so soft, I keep stroking it!

The label was created using the Floral Frames Stamp Set and matching Framelits.  I coloured the leaves in using blender pens and ink pads.  Before sticking to the tin with Dimensionals, I die cut the leaves and glue to the back of the label.

Inside the tin I have included a homemade wish bracelet which was made using Bakers Twine and Galvanised Buttons and wrapped around a piece of card decorated again with Frosted Floral DSP.  I also added in a small bottle of lavender (to calm and soothe), a packet of tissues (to wipe away any tears), a tea bag (coz tea solves everything!), and the obvious choice, chocolate…! (if the tea doesn’t work, then the chocolate will!)

I’m off to plan now! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Don’t forget you can purchase everything I’ve used for this project by clicking on the link below, shops open 24/7!

World Mental Health Day – Rainbow Framed Quote

Hi everyone!

Happy hump day! We’ve got to the halfway point of the week and today mark’s World Mental Health Day.

I love crafting for mindfulness, I tend to listen to podcasts (My Favorite Murder anybody?!) and audiobooks (I struggle to read when depression hits) as these help me zone out and enjoy myself. Crafting and Stampin’ Up! Have been amazing when I’ve been struggling, although when anxious and depressed I can struggle to focus, I find that I can turn to my SU family for support and inspiration. Making things that remind me that I can craft when I’m low also helps and this is where the idea for today’s project came from.

Personally I love positive affirmations, especially when I’m struggling with my mental health. I saw this quote and knew I wanted to do something with it to put on display.

I’ve seen posts on Pinterest where people have melted crayons down sheets of card to create rainbow backgrounds and I wanted to recreate this as it matched the quote. I used ink on watercolour card and blew the ink down with a straw.

I then stamped the quote out using the labeller stamp set and cutting each word down to size.
