Pootlers blog hop!

Hi everyone!

Here we are again for another fabulous Pootler’s Blog Hop!

This week we’re showcasing the gorgeous Spring/Summer catalogue. I was devastated when they discounted the butterfly dies so you can imagine how happy I was when I saw that we had new gorgeous butterflies!

This butterfly has been cut from the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Die which is a larger die and cuts 5 different butterflies.

The background was created using the Crackle Paint stamp, I embossed it with white embossing powder which created the appearance that the card was cracking.

The gorgeous wording and sentiment is from the Well Said bundle which has an amazing selection of phrases to chose from so it is going to me a much loved set for me I think! The sentiment was stamped onto card cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.

I hope you enjoyed my contribution to the blog hop; please do check out the amazing projects by my fellow Pootlers by clicking the button below. A huge thank you to Hannah for organising it again!

Birthday Cake

Hi everyone!

Are you enjoying the new Spring/Summer Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration? Today I’m sharing the birthday card I made for one of my lovely demo friends, Hannah, who’s birthday was on Saturday.

When I first saw the ‘Hello Cupcake’ stamp set I knew I wanted it, it’s going to be a definite go to stamp for birthdays’! Who doesn’t love a cupcake?! Even better is that it’s free if you spend £45/60€!

The DSP in the background is from the Broadway Bound Speciality Papers, I cut a piece to 1.5″ wide to add a bit of contrast in the background.

Although in the photos it doesn’t look it, the ‘Celebrate Your Day!’ wording is actually done in Silver Embossing. I also added clear and frosted epoxy droplets.

I created the Ombre effect on the icing part of the image by using ‘Stampin’ Write Markers’ in Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay. I blended them in a little when applying the ink so it look more like a smooth transition to the different colours.

I really hope Hannah liked it as well as you all.

If you want to join Stampin’ Up! now is the PERFECT time! We have an incredible joining offer, one that I’ve not seen in a while!

Spring/Summer Catalogue Launch!

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you all had lovely a Christmas and a very Happy New Year! Mine was quiet and I had a bit of break from crafting as I literally didn’t stop in the run up to Christmas, the last card I made was actually on Christmas Eve!

Today sees the launch of the new Spring/Summer Catalogue. If you want to take a look just click here.

There are loads of beautiful products in time for Valentine’s Day, (or St. Dwynwen’s Day on 25 Jan if you’re Welsh!), Easter, Weddings, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and birthday’s!

The catalogue also launches the new cling stamps which are FAN-TAS-TIC! I can honestly say they they are the best addition to any crafters collection! The red rubber stamps can now have the stickers added to the back and this will cling to your clear mounts!

Between today and 31 March don’t forget that Sale-A-Bration is live! For every £45 you spend you will get a free product!

I’ll be back to crafting and blogging properly later this week.

Thanks for dropping by!

Snow scene Christmas

Hi everyone!

How’s your Christmas preparation going? I don’t think I’m any further along than I was last week! Thankfully I have a few days off before Christmas so can tie up loose ends.

Today’s project is the Christmas card I sent to my friend and her family. I love how cute and quirky these characters are.

The snow was created using Embossing Paste and Dazzling Diamond Stampin’ Glitter. I wanted to test a wax melt effect and the ‘Official Seal of the North Pole” was a great stamp to try it with.

This is another take on the same style. The sky was created using inks and sponge daubers.

I hope you like today’s project, and I hope you have all your cards lined up and ready to go!

Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers Combo Pack

Christmas shaker card

Hey everyone!

It’s Friday! For me that means college day, there is so much to take in with this Diploma and I’m nervous about the exam already! (It’s in May…!) hopefully I can finish my Christmas shopping this weekend. What do you get the dad who doesn’t want anything?!

My card today sort of came about by mistake! I was playing around with sponging stencils and had extra elves to use; the idea to make it a shaker card just popped into my head so I had to try.

The little memories & more cards came in useful to make the background behind the shaker panel.

I love these little elves, aren’t they just adorable! The Stampin’ Blends really are fantastic at colouring these images.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!
