Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 3 – My sweet friend

Hi everyone

Week 3 already! It’s flying by! Today’s card developed purely by fluke, I was messing around with some window sheets with the idea in my head of making the jar image but the background just happened by accident!  Don’t you just love happy accidents like that!

I think I’m slightly obsessed with the long leaved image! It’s so cute and works well on the corned of the card (hiding a mistake!!)

I think I’ll be using this sentiment on other cards in the future, I can see it working well with the ‘watercolour wings’ stamp set, what do you think?  In fact the whole set could work as a ‘butterfly garden’ theme – copyrighting that now! 😉

I hope you like this week’s project; I’d love to hear what your thoughts are of the Design Team’s projects so far, please do leave a comment.

Thanks for dropping by!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 2 – Live, Love, Grow

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_nHi everyone!

Week 2 is here and with it a little sneak peek of a Sale-A-Bration product!

Did you spot it? Here’s a closer look…

Yup, the beautiful DSP in the background is coming to you from 04 January 2017.  It’s a beautiful pack all ready for you to colour in as you please, personally I loved this in black and white and thought it worked well with the Live, Love, Grow stamp set.

I’m having too much fun with this stamp set, who knew it would be so versatile?! Feels really nice to have a bit of mojo back again too!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 1 – Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone!

I have the great honour this month to be a part of the Pootler’s Design Team.  The stamps we will be featuring are from the Live, Love, Grow set.  I’ve seen it a few times in the catalogue but skimmed over it so I did panic slightly when I received this!  However, once I made my first project the ideas came thick and fast!!

I was absolutely thrilled when the wreath worked out, I think it works really well and the copper just adds to the image to make it really pop.

For the bow I simply folded a piece of the burlap ribbon so the two ends met in the middle, I then tied metallic thread to give it the ribbon appearance.

I hope you like my project today and I’m looking forward to sharing my other projects with you over the coming weeks.

Simply Sketched Challenge: November 2016

My Project 6-001

Hi everyone!

So after 7 months I’m FINALLY jumping back into our Simply Sketched Challenges.  I’ve really missed doing these challenges and must admit I’m still not 100% with my crafting skills so have struggled to come up with something despite loving the beautiful sketch by Anna.

Isn’t it the cutest! I really wanted to use an image but then realised I haven’t allowed self to buy anything new so I decided to go back to an old favourite.

I do love the copper trend that’s around at the moment and made use of the new copper foil in the background.

I’m sorry for the poor photos, I finally finished at 11:30 last night so light was not the best for photography!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my sketch today.  Don’t forget to use the buttons below to jump over to Hannah’s piece, or back to Justyna’s.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Onstage Local Swaps

Hi everyone

Last weekend was my favourite Stampin’ Up! Event of the year (well it’s twice a year so theoretically the second of my favourite events!) I love getting together with my Stampin’ Up! family and spending some quality time together.

This year it tied in with my friend, and fellow demo’s, birthday (happy birthday Amy!) so we decided to make a full weekend of it.  The Friday night we went for a meal (below pic), Saturday was a full day of Stampin’ Up! training and crafting and sneak peeks (Oh my the Spring/Summer catalogue is AMAZING!) and finally on the Sunday we went for a Spa Day which was fabulous!

As you will have seen from my previous posts, part of the SU events involves swapping our crafty makes.  I fancied making something different for my swap this time around and used a non SU product (oops!) to get the finished tag.

I love that with the Foxy Friends stamp set you can create different animals! Love this little reindeer, I can see him being a key feature in my Christmas cards!

This is all of them ready to go!

I hope you like my little tags, I had a lot of fun handing them out and hearing everyone’s reactions to them.

If you think that these events are something you’d like to take part in, why not have a look at joining my team? For £99 you get £130 worth of products!

Thanks for stopping by!
