Hi everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that Father Christmas bought you everything you wanted 😉

After last weeks project I wanted to make something clean and simple, I couldn’t resist throwing in a bit of ‘Gorgeous Grunge’ and a bit of bling!

I do love how this is such a delicate card but still has an impact with the bright colours.

The sentiment seemed appropriate as this is my last week with the Design Team, the next group will take over from next Thursday, be sure to watch out for them 🙂

I wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year! I’m hoping that 2017 brings lots of happiness and fun.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 4 –Succulent Terrarium

Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope you’re now beginning to wind down ready for the festivities? Or if you’re in a panic that things aren’t ready, sit down, have a cup of tea and a deep breath… my project should help relax you today as it’s based on the increasingly popular succulent terrarium’s that I’ve seen popping up over Pinterest and the garden centres.

img_5640

This was the first idea I had when I received the stamp set and I have to admit I’m slightly giddy over how it’s turned out! It’s now hanging up in my craft room as a reminder that I can craft when my mojo is slacking!

img_5641

The hardest part was getting the ‘soil’ to stick inside the bauble but after a bit of a fight with a glue gun (and using the stars left by the confetti punch to hide my mistakes!) they finally stuck down 🙂

img_5642

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, enjoy your time with family and friends.  If you’re working, thank you for your service, especially those in the Emergency Services and hospitals across the country, and world.  I shall be spending Christmas with my family, it’s my first single Christmas for many years so it will be strange but at least I can craft guilt free on Boxing Day! 😉

Thanks for stopping by!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 3 – My sweet friend

Hi everyone

Week 3 already! It’s flying by! Today’s card developed purely by fluke, I was messing around with some window sheets with the idea in my head of making the jar image but the background just happened by accident!  Don’t you just love happy accidents like that!

img_5634

I think I’m slightly obsessed with the long leaved image! It’s so cute and works well on the corned of the card (hiding a mistake!!)

img_5636

I think I’ll be using this sentiment on other cards in the future, I can see it working well with the ‘watercolour wings’ stamp set, what do you think?  In fact the whole set could work as a ‘butterfly garden’ theme – copyrighting that now! 😉

I hope you like this week’s project; I’d love to hear what your thoughts are of the Design Team’s projects so far, please do leave a comment.

Thanks for dropping by!

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_nHi everyone!

Week 2 is here and with it a little sneak peek of a Sale-A-Bration product!

img_5639

Did you spot it? Here’s a closer look…

img_5638

Yup, the beautiful DSP in the background is coming to you from 04 January 2017.  It’s a beautiful pack all ready for you to colour in as you please, personally I loved this in black and white and thought it worked well with the Live, Love, Grow stamp set.

I’m having too much fun with this stamp set, who knew it would be so versatile?! Feels really nice to have a bit of mojo back again too!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 1 – Merry Christmas!

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_n.jpg

Hi everyone!

I have the great honour this month to be a part of the Pootler’s Design Team.  The stamps we will be featuring are from the Live, Love, Grow set.  I’ve seen it a few times in the catalogue but skimmed over it so I did panic slightly when I received this!  However, once I made my first project the ideas came thick and fast!!

img_5631

I was absolutely thrilled when the wreath worked out, I think it works really well and the copper just adds to the image to make it really pop.

img_5632

For the bow I simply folded a piece of the burlap ribbon so the two ends met in the middle, I then tied metallic thread to give it the ribbon appearance.

I hope you like my project today and I’m looking forward to sharing my other projects with you over the coming weeks.

Thanks for stopping by!
