Pootlers Design Team Week 1, December 2017

Hi everyone!

Thanks for coming over to view my project.  I’m incredibly honoured by Sam to allow me to take part in what will be the last month of the Design Team projects.

The stamp set she supplied this month has been on my wish list since I first saw it in Amsterdam at On Stage.

With the run up to Christmas firmly upon us I thought I’d start off with a gift box.  The stamps work perfectly for a crafty friend and associated gift, so I decided to gift myself the watercolour pencils… 😉

How amazing a colour is Lemon Lime Twist?! It just makes me happy!

I recently found a bargain sewing machine in a budget supermarket locally, meaning that I was able to stitch the ribbon together rather than glueing to make it stronger.

The pens were coloured using the blender pens, I love how many colouring options Stampin’ Up! now gives us, especially with the recent release of the Stampin’ Blends.

The sentiment is so accurate for crafty people like us, I know that I can’t go a day without being creative!

Speaking of unleashing creativity…I recently introduced my boyfriend to the wonders of crafting and boy is he taking to it like a duck to water! I think I’ll be hiding my Stampin’ Up! orders so he doesn’t use things before me!  Here are his first attempts (first ever card is on the left).

Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you’ll come back next week to see what other projects I’ve made.

My Project 6-001

Hi everyone!

We decided to mix it up a bit this month and go for a colour challenge rather than a sketch, and the lovey Hannah gave us these to play around with…

I love that Hannah has pushed us out of our comfort zone with this one.  I knew straight away which stamp set I wanted to use, especially with Bushing Bride featuring…

Aren’t these pigs just the cutest! We saw them in Convention back in April and lets just say there was nearly a scuffle when it came to Prize Patrol!

I hope you like my project today.  Please do continue along the hop by clicking Previous to go to Sally, or forward to go to Angelina.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 3 – My sweet friend

Hi everyone

Week 3 already! It’s flying by! Today’s card developed purely by fluke, I was messing around with some window sheets with the idea in my head of making the jar image but the background just happened by accident!  Don’t you just love happy accidents like that!

I think I’m slightly obsessed with the long leaved image! It’s so cute and works well on the corned of the card (hiding a mistake!!)

I think I’ll be using this sentiment on other cards in the future, I can see it working well with the ‘watercolour wings’ stamp set, what do you think?  In fact the whole set could work as a ‘butterfly garden’ theme – copyrighting that now! 😉

I hope you like this week’s project; I’d love to hear what your thoughts are of the Design Team’s projects so far, please do leave a comment.

Thanks for dropping by!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 2 – Live, Love, Grow

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_nHi everyone!

Week 2 is here and with it a little sneak peek of a Sale-A-Bration product!

Did you spot it? Here’s a closer look…

Yup, the beautiful DSP in the background is coming to you from 04 January 2017.  It’s a beautiful pack all ready for you to colour in as you please, personally I loved this in black and white and thought it worked well with the Live, Love, Grow stamp set.

I’m having too much fun with this stamp set, who knew it would be so versatile?! Feels really nice to have a bit of mojo back again too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pootlers Design Team December 2016 week 1 – Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone!

I have the great honour this month to be a part of the Pootler’s Design Team.  The stamps we will be featuring are from the Live, Love, Grow set.  I’ve seen it a few times in the catalogue but skimmed over it so I did panic slightly when I received this!  However, once I made my first project the ideas came thick and fast!!

I was absolutely thrilled when the wreath worked out, I think it works really well and the copper just adds to the image to make it really pop.

For the bow I simply folded a piece of the burlap ribbon so the two ends met in the middle, I then tied metallic thread to give it the ribbon appearance.

I hope you like my project today and I’m looking forward to sharing my other projects with you over the coming weeks.

Thanks for stopping by!
