Triangle Box

Hi everyone

Something a little different from me today, I was messing around with some Easter Eggs I bought and knew I wanted to make a box for them.  Yes I’m a little late putting this up but it’s perfect for little gifts too!

I hope you enjoy this VIDEO (I know! First video in 3 years!) please do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Simply Sketch Saturday Challenge No. 7!

My Project 6-001

Hi everyone!

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

Today’s sketch is by the fabulous Justyna.  I adore this sketch! It’s so pretty and immediately gave me loads of ideas.  Anyone who has bought the tin of cards kit will see the similarity to the gold stripes that came with it.  That’s what I saw anyway so knew I wanted to use gold.

The Hostess stamp set ‘A Whole Lot of Lovely’ was calling me to use on the card, and combined with a pop of Watermelon Wonder I think it really jumps out at you.

The Botanical Builder Dies were a must have after seeing some of the incredible things that Toni (another lady in this hop) had made with them.  I’m really glad I got them now and hope they’re carried over into the annual catalogue so I can continue to use!

So today’s card is simple, but I hope it’s making the standout impression I was aiming for.

Please do hop over to Kathleen next, or back to Amy, who is sadly leaving the hop after this months 😦

Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gingham Garden Gift Bag

Hi everyone

Wow what gorgeous weather we’re having! Must admit I’ve hardly been in the craft room as I’ve been making the most of the sunshine by sorting the garden out.  Muscles are aching now though!

I’ve had some Mini Muslin Bags sat staring at me for a while now and I wondered what to do with them.  I’ve since been given the perfect excuse to use one and I wanted to share what I did.

I had some scrap Gingham Garden laying about on my desk following another project (picture of that project on my Facebook page!) so thought I’d put them to use on this project using the petite petals punch.

I hope that the recipient likes it, and what’s inside! I’m thinking of using buttons on the next one, what would you use?

Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding wishes

Hi everyone

My friend asked me to make a wedding card for her friends who got married last weekend, the only request was that it matched the colour scheme of orange and purple. I couldn’t think what to make until I remembered the fantastic “Venetian romance” DSP! What perfect paper for a perfect day!

I used the “perfect couple” stamp set to create the main image and sentiment, I just changed the sentiment from the one originally designed.

I then added some crochet trim to the background to add a bit more dimension. If you look closely you can see the background also has the dictionary stamp inked on to it.

I hope the happy couple had a wonderful day!

As I promised last week, I will be sharing a very special project for a very special blog post on Friday, stop by and take a peek then 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

See ya later! A Sale-A-Bration special

Hi everyone!

Sale-A-Bration comes to an end at the end of this month! I know! Where’s the time gone?! So I wanted to share a little project using one of the free (FREE!) stamp sets you can earn yourselves when you spend £45 with Stampin’ Up!

The See Ya Later Stamp Set is adorable! I loved it as soon as I laid eyes on it back in our sneak preview catalogue in December!  I’ve made 4 cards to show you today  using each stamp from the set.

IMG_1814

This stamp I thinks perfect to send to a friend just to say thanks for being there, we all need that little pick me up every now and again don’t we, and who wouldn’t love coming home to a personalised card made just to say I’m thinking of you and I appreciate everything you are (think love week soppiness is still with me!)

IMG_1816

IMG_1817

I remember as a child when I’d go to bed my parents would say “see ya later alligator” and I obviously would reply “in a while crocodile” so love this stamp for that reason!

How true is this statement….(I also adore the Very Vintage Designer Buttons!)

And of course a versatile stamp set wouldn’t be complete without a birthday sentiment, a bit of flattery gets you everywhere 😉

I hope you like today’s offering, I’ve plenty more in store for you later in the week!
