Saturday Simply Sketched Challenge; June 2017

My Project 6-001

Hi everyone!

We decided to mix it up a bit this month and go for a colour challenge rather than a sketch, and the lovey Hannah gave us these to play around with…

I love that Hannah has pushed us out of our comfort zone with this one.  I knew straight away which stamp set I wanted to use, especially with Bushing Bride featuring…

Aren’t these pigs just the cutest! We saw them in Convention back in April and lets just say there was nearly a scuffle when it came to Prize Patrol!

I hope you like my project today.  Please do continue along the hop by clicking Previous to go to Sally, or forward to go to Angelina.

What an exciting month I’ve had! Two of my oldest (known the bride since I was 3!) friends got married, and I went to training in Telford with Stampin’ Up! Was so lovely to see my second family!

Today’s sketch was provided by the lovely Karen McDonald.

My Project 14-001

I will admit I struggled with this one but have attempted it! Was torn between several stamp sets, but decided to stick to Balloon Celebration because I LOVE it!!

For the four that needed highlighting as per the sketch I attached bakers twine and sequin trim, they are also mounted with dimensional foam pads.

I really hope you like today’s offering, don’t forget to carry on hopping along to Kathleen’s blog, she has something wonderful to share with you all!

Today’s sketch is by the fabulous Justyna.  I adore this sketch! It’s so pretty and immediately gave me loads of ideas.  Anyone who has bought the tin of cards kit will see the similarity to the gold stripes that came with it.  That’s what I saw anyway so knew I wanted to use gold.

The Hostess stamp set ‘A Whole Lot of Lovely’ was calling me to use on the card, and combined with a pop of Watermelon Wonder I think it really jumps out at you.

The Botanical Builder Dies were a must have after seeing some of the incredible things that Toni (another lady in this hop) had made with them.  I’m really glad I got them now and hope they’re carried over into the annual catalogue so I can continue to use!

So today’s card is simple, but I hope it’s making the standout impression I was aiming for.

Please do hop over to Kathleen next, or back to Amy, who is sadly leaving the hop after this months 😦

Enjoy the rest of the hop!

30th Birthday Celebration using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

Today is my friend Kayley’s 30th birthday.  She had a wonderful party on Saturday where there was a lot of dancing and Prosecco! Needless to say Sunday was a wash out!!

I wanted to do something a bit special for her as it’s a big birthday so decided to do a matching set of card, bottle bag, and gift card holder.

Apologies for the lack of cropping in my photos! I was trying to do too many things at once.

The bottle box was inspired by Linda Parker’s tutorial (a fellow Pootler!) but I adjusted the measurements to fit the Prosecco bottle in.

I love the Balloon Celebration stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue, especially with the matching punch.  It’s such a simple yet effective set that I really think works with this project.  The Number of Years set with Framelits is just perfect for these big events as well, can definitely see me getting more use from it!

IMG_0756I hope you like the set I’ve shared with you today.

Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge 3!

My Project 6-001

Hi!

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping.

Thanks for visiting my blog and this, our third sketch challenge! If you’ve come from Amy’s blog isn’t her project the cutest!

This weeks sketch was created by Angelina.

My Project 8-001

I have been away with my best friend for a few days, so I’m not going to lie, today’s card was a rushed make last night!!

We did have a brilliant time though! Here’s a little picture of us enjoying a rare night out in the city centre.

IMG_9281

Anyway! Back to the card…it’s the lovely Ania’s birthday later this week so it felt relevant to make a birthday card.

IMG_9303

I struggled to think that to make as I had the idea of the butterfly but not much else! I am quite pleased with how it turned out, even if it is a step away from my usual style!

IMG_9304

IMG_9305

I hope you like what I’ve made, and that you enjoy the rest of the hop!

On a completely different note I have to share a bit of pride I have in myself, even though it’s only a small achievement! I’m terrified of needles, and suffer from migraines, having read up on Daith piercings lately I went under the needle (literally, I had to lay down!) on Wednesday and am pleased to report I’ve been headache free ever since! (usually get one a day) Here’s a little picture of my little piercing, I feel rather proud of myself for facing my fear!
