Triangle Box

Hi everyone

Something a little different from me today, I was messing around with some Easter Eggs I bought and knew I wanted to make a box for them.  Yes I’m a little late putting this up but it’s perfect for little gifts too!

I hope you enjoy this VIDEO (I know! First video in 3 years!) please do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

30th Birthday Celebration using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

Today is my friend Kayley’s 30th birthday.  She had a wonderful party on Saturday where there was a lot of dancing and Prosecco! Needless to say Sunday was a wash out!!

I wanted to do something a bit special for her as it’s a big birthday so decided to do a matching set of card, bottle bag, and gift card holder.

Apologies for the lack of cropping in my photos! I was trying to do too many things at once.

The bottle box was inspired by Linda Parker’s tutorial (a fellow Pootler!) but I adjusted the measurements to fit the Prosecco bottle in.

I love the Balloon Celebration stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue, especially with the matching punch.  It’s such a simple yet effective set that I really think works with this project.  The Number of Years set with Framelits is just perfect for these big events as well, can definitely see me getting more use from it!

IMG_0756I hope you like the set I’ve shared with you today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Gifts for friends. Made by Sam’s Crafty Things, using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

I’ve made some really good friends in the team that I’m in with Stampin’ Up! Two of them I regularly chat to and we all have an addiction to Haribo and Nutella! So I decided, as I won’t see them for a while, that I’d give them a little present to take home with them.  Of course the gift was Haribo and Nutella!!

This DSP is Toni’s favourite so of course I had to use it!

This one was for Hayley, I used this DSP because she’s so bright and sunny I thought it matched her well!

I love the bright colours on these boxes, and I made them with some sturdy card so that they can use the boxes again, maybe to store so craft supplies, or maybe more Haribo!

Do you have any addictions you and your friends share?

Thanks for stopping by!

Card storage in style! By Sam’s Crafty Things using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

I don’t know about you but I get completely fed up of never knowing where to store those cards that I’ve made, and end up finding them in a pile getting damaged! I finally had enough the other day and decided to make an organisational box to keep them in so that they were safe, clean, and easy to find!

I wanted it to be aesthetically pleasing, as well as organisational, so given how much I like the ‘Retro Fresh’ DSP, I used this and the matching washi tape to decorate the box.

I’m sure you’ve already gathered that I like a bit of sparkle on my projects! I incorporated the ‘Gold Sequin Trip’ with the ‘Gold Foil sheets’ on the side of the box, and the ‘Silver Glimmer Paper’ with the sequins on the front.  I used the ‘On Film Framelit Dies’ to create the photography theme.IMG_1942

I made the divider cards on my Cameo Silhouette and then stamped the wording using the ‘Simply Serif Mini Alphabet’ with black ink.

The base of the box is cut from the card that comes in the DSP packs (the grey chipboard) as I thought that this would be sturdy enough to be able to hold the cards if I was moving the box around my craft room, which I’m sure will happen a lot given how often I’m reorganising!!

Are you in need or an organising box? What would you use it for?

Washi Tape Storage!

Hi everyone

Hope your weeks are going well.  I’m officially fed up of feeling ill, antibiotics are kicking in though yay! So fingers crossed I’m on road to recovery.  Just wish dizziness would disappear as well!

Anyhoo! I’ve been looking at how to store my washi tapes as they’ve been rolling all over the place.  I did put them in a jar but this was a pain when wanting to use the one at the bottom.  So I happened to stumble across this project on pinterest and thought it was a brilliant idea!

I realised that the ‘tag a bag gift boxes’ are the perfect size for the washi tapes to be stored in and so I got started.  The first problem I came across was a roller to hold the washi tape on (as a crafter you can imagine my den is full of all sorts of bits and bobs) so after staring at my shelves for ages I suddenly realised I had a tub of pencils (good old costco!) which I cut down to size and covered in DSP.  I then devised a holder for the “roller” out of chipboard and using the circle punch from the ‘Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack’.  I wish I had taken a photo before I had put the washi tape in so you could see it better, but here’s the “holder and roller” so you can get a brief idea.

I then decorated the box and cut a slit in the acetate sleeve for the washi tape to be dispensed through.

Finally to make the box easily identifiable on my shelf, I used MDS and the Cameo Silhouette to create the label on the front.

I feel pretty proud of this project, it has made me itch to get more washi tape though! I feel an order coming on….!
