My Project 6-001

Hi everyone!

We decided to mix it up a bit this month and go for a colour challenge rather than a sketch, and the lovey Hannah gave us these to play around with…

I love that Hannah has pushed us out of our comfort zone with this one.  I knew straight away which stamp set I wanted to use, especially with Bushing Bride featuring…

Aren’t these pigs just the cutest! We saw them in Convention back in April and lets just say there was nearly a scuffle when it came to Prize Patrol!

I hope you like my project today.  Please do continue along the hop by clicking Previous to go to Sally, or forward to go to Angelina.

Christmas tags and decorations made by Sam’s Crafty Things, using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

Wow life is making it difficult for me to blog at the moment! I’ve been swamped with college work, had another lot of impetigo that’s still lingering, and had my friends wedding at the weekend which I was Chief Bridesmaid for, and responsible for the invites and table names…did I say she organised it all in 2 months…!!

So amongst all that I’ve had very little time to craft, but at convention I made some fabulous new friends who I am now regularly crafting with online! So a few weeks ago we had our first interactive gathering and it was really good! So lovely to speak to them all again and craft with some friends instead of only having myself for company!  As part of our crafting gathering we have decided to share the projects with you all via a blog hop….this is it!

Therefore, welcome to the first ‘Crafty Convention Crew’ blog hop!

So you have either come straight to me, or you have come from Katy’s blog – isn’t her project the cutest! Welcome along either way! At the end of my blog you will have badges to click to go to the next post (fabulous Amy) or the previous post, which is the gorgeous Katy.  Please do stop by all of us as we have plenty of projects to share with you, this month featuring the fabulous Four Feathers stamp and thinlits from the Autumn/Winter 2014 catalogue.

I decided to go for something simple but that made an impact, be it on your Christmas tree, or for your gifts.

These are the cute decorations, just something simple but sparkly (as the sentiment says!)

I think these would work perfectly on your table for Christmas day as well, or even for a New Years Eve party, just add the names to the holder – Tah-dah!

These are the adorable gift tags, there’s room on the back of the decorative label punch tag to add your message to as well.

I know that I will be using these on my gifts this year, don’t fancy the mad dash to the supermarket on Christmas Eve to find it’s only the tackiest ones left again this year!!

Oh Happy Day!

Hi everyone!

I told you I’d be bringing more Starburst Saying Cards to you! Today’s is using the fun and versatile ‘Oh Happy Day’ sentiment, this could be used for weddings, birthday’s, births etc, well for any happy day really! I had originally wanted to use the Retro Fresh DSP with this card but when I lined everything up I thought it was be more fun and clean looking just to use the ‘Peachy Keen’ stamp set.

IMG_1927

I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the squares on the left hand side to ensure a straight line and that they were lined up.

Obviously I had to bring the bling with the Rhinestone Jewels, who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle!

I think I will be using this sentiment on future cards, especially for weddings, I’ll be sure to share these with you.  Let me know if you’ve used this stamp and what for.

Gingham Garden has been one of my favourite DSPs from the 2014 catalogue.  I love the bright colours and sunshine feel that it has about it.

Burlap, blooms and butterflies

Hi everyone!

It’s only Wednesday and I’m already ready for the weekend! So tired at the moment I haven’t even wanted to craft!  However, I have been itching to make the Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit so today I’m sharing the end result with you.

IMG_0896

IMG_0897

IMG_0898

IMG_0900

I wanted to make mine slightly different, and given my love of butterflies, I had to add them in.

IMG_0899

IMG_0901

I am loving the end product, and am trying to resist the urge to buy more to make for my mum, best friend, neighbour…..!

What do you think? Would you include the butterflies, or do you have something else in mind that you would add?

Thanks for stopping by!
