Triangle Box

Hi everyone

Something a little different from me today, I was messing around with some Easter Eggs I bought and knew I wanted to make a box for them.  Yes I’m a little late putting this up but it’s perfect for little gifts too!

I hope you enjoy this VIDEO (I know! First video in 3 years!) please do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge No. 8!

My Project 6-001

Hi everyone!

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

What an exciting month I’ve had! Two of my oldest (known the bride since I was 3!) friends got married, and I went to training in Telford with Stampin’ Up! Was so lovely to see my second family!

Today’s sketch was provided by the lovely Karen McDonald.

My Project 14-001

I will admit I struggled with this one but have attempted it! Was torn between several stamp sets, but decided to stick to Balloon Celebration because I LOVE it!!

For the four that needed highlighting as per the sketch I attached bakers twine and sequin trim, they are also mounted with dimensional foam pads.

I really hope you like today’s offering, don’t forget to carry on hopping along to Kathleen’s blog, she has something wonderful to share with you all!

Thanks for stopping by!

Night time in a new home. Created by Sam’s Crafting Things using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

Wow week over already! Hope your days have been kind this week.  I much admit I am exhausted, and typing this wishing I had matchsticks to hold eyes open!!

Following on from last weeks card, I was asked to make change of address cards and a New Home card to match.

I wanted to use the same idea but decided to go for night time instead of day.

IMG_8947

I wanted to add a starlight effect to the background so combined a bit of embossing with stars from the star punch.

IMG_8950

I was worried that the moon would not look effective but I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.  I dabbed the sponged rather than blending it which has given it the nice crater like appearance.

IMG_8953

I decided to keep the tags a bit more simple, with the ‘moon’ being created by Island Indigo Cardstock, and a 3D effect made by using Stampin’ Dimensional’s

IMG_8951

To get the colours right on word, I used the Stampin’ Up! RGB codes and printed in high quality to ensure the best match.

18th Birthday Celebration Card made by Sam’s Crafty Things, using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend, we have sunshine here, first time in a while! Currently sat with the sun streaming in through the window and warming my back nicely!

It’s my nieces 18th birthday on Thursday, I can’t believe where the time has gone! She was 8 when I met my husband! I really had to think about this card as didn’t want it to be too childish, girly, or tacky!

She’s heavily into photography so I decided to incorporate this into the card using the ‘on film’ framelit dies.

I know I’m panicking about my big birthday next year so decided to add in the ‘Stay Calm’ sentiment from the recent photopolymer promotion Stampin’ Up! ran.  I bet she’s more excited about 18 than scared! I know I was, I could legally drink! (in the UK!)

Do you like the colour it’s stamped in? That’s one of the new In Colours! Hello Honey!

I hope she likes it! What would you make for an 18 year old teenager?

Sunshine Gift Bag by Sam’s Crafty Things using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

As it’s Monday and I think we all need a little sunshine to brighten our day! Therefore I’m sharing this sweet little gift bag I made using the ‘Tag a Bag’ Gift Bags.

IMG_1931

IMG_1933

I scrunched the Tea Lace Paper Doilies to create the folded effect behind the Starburst image.

IMG_1936

As you can see I’ve made the bag a bit wider, this is achieved by cutting along the small fold at the bottom of the bag, then scoring up the sides of the bag at 1″, and then along the bottom at 2″.  Fold along all the score lines.  Then cut from the bottom up to the 2″ score line to give you four flaps, which you then tuck under each other to form the bottom of the bag.  Glue these down and you’ll have the 3D Bag.

I wanted to use the colours from the Gingham Garden DSP because it’s such a bright and sunshiny DSP and really matched the sentiment from the ‘Feel Goods’ Digital Stamp Brush Set.

Would you like to receive this little gift bag? Would you keep it for the memories?

Thanks for stopping by!
