Pootlers Design Team Week 1, December 2017

Hi everyone!

Thanks for coming over to view my project.  I’m incredibly honoured by Sam to allow me to take part in what will be the last month of the Design Team projects.

The stamp set she supplied this month has been on my wish list since I first saw it in Amsterdam at On Stage.

With the run up to Christmas firmly upon us I thought I’d start off with a gift box.  The stamps work perfectly for a crafty friend and associated gift, so I decided to gift myself the watercolour pencils… 😉

How amazing a colour is Lemon Lime Twist?! It just makes me happy!

I recently found a bargain sewing machine in a budget supermarket locally, meaning that I was able to stitch the ribbon together rather than glueing to make it stronger.

The pens were coloured using the blender pens, I love how many colouring options Stampin’ Up! now gives us, especially with the recent release of the Stampin’ Blends.

The sentiment is so accurate for crafty people like us, I know that I can’t go a day without being creative!

Speaking of unleashing creativity…I recently introduced my boyfriend to the wonders of crafting and boy is he taking to it like a duck to water! I think I’ll be hiding my Stampin’ Up! orders so he doesn’t use things before me!  Here are his first attempts (first ever card is on the left).

Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you’ll come back next week to see what other projects I’ve made.

Triangle Box

Hi everyone

Something a little different from me today, I was messing around with some Easter Eggs I bought and knew I wanted to make a box for them.  Yes I’m a little late putting this up but it’s perfect for little gifts too!

I hope you enjoy this VIDEO (I know! First video in 3 years!) please do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Coming back to reality…

Hi everyone!

I must sincerely apologise for my absence this year. Unfortunately I have gone through a pretty significant change in my life and it’s meant that my crafting has taken a back seat.

This weekend was the fabulous Onstage live! Stampin’ Up! Training event (more pictures to follow soon!) and I was staying with some of my amazing friends that I’ve made through Stampin’ Up!

They’ve been such an incredible support network to me so I wanted to make them a little gift to celebrate our weekend together.

I bought some fillable baubles last year which I never got around to doing anything with, isn’t that always the way?!

I wanted to make them personalised and played around with a few ideas until I came up with this one.

I have to admit that the baubles are filled with various items that I thought would work, including glitter, beads, buttons, charms, and sequins!

I’ve stolen this next photo from my friends Instagram page because it looked awesome!

The card is from one of the Stampin’ Up! Kits which I’ll be sharing more details of in a future blog post ❤️

I hope you liked my return post!

Much love!

Christmas Tag-A-Bags created by Sam’s Crafty Things, using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

I know! Two posts in one week, here’s hoping I’m starting to manage my college work a little better….!

I can’t reveal too much about the goodies within today’s project as they’re Christmas presents for my family (my craft room smells gorgeous though!), but I thought I could share the gift wrapping that I have done to put them in.

The Tag-A-Bags have sadly been an overlooked purchase in my craft stash, not sure why as they are BRILLIANT! I followed this tutorial to create the expanding bag rather than use them flat as they come.

As you can see two are similar, and one’s different, this was to help me remember who they are to go to! So two are for one person hence the similarities!

IMG_2043The Burlap ribbon has been another over looked item in my craft collection, I think because I associate it so much with Christmas or Wreaths, but I’m so glad I tested it against the bag.  Think that the burlap looks stunning with the crumb cake card stock and gold trim.

I had a bit of a play around with the doilies and thought they worked well with this project as well, what do you think?

A tip we were shown at convention was colouring the gold trim with the blendabilities to achieve a multitude of colours; it is now one of my favourite things to do! The gold trim here has been coloured with the Cherry Cobbler Blendy – it’s so pretty!

The confetti stars punch has been used on the flap on the bag and on the tag.  This punch is so cute! Think my Christmas cards are mainly going to be sequins and stars at this rate!

I’d love to hear what you think of today’s project.  Please do feel free to leave a comment here, or on my Facebook page.  Don’t forget, you only have until Tuesday to sign up for the incredible starter kit at 25% off, that’s £74.25 instead of £99 and still receiving £130 worth of kit! Bargain!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gifts for friends. Made by Sam’s Crafty Things, using Stampin’ Up! Products

Hi everyone!

I’ve made some really good friends in the team that I’m in with Stampin’ Up! Two of them I regularly chat to and we all have an addiction to Haribo and Nutella! So I decided, as I won’t see them for a while, that I’d give them a little present to take home with them.  Of course the gift was Haribo and Nutella!!

This DSP is Toni’s favourite so of course I had to use it!

This one was for Hayley, I used this DSP because she’s so bright and sunny I thought it matched her well!

I love the bright colours on these boxes, and I made them with some sturdy card so that they can use the boxes again, maybe to store so craft supplies, or maybe more Haribo!

Do you have any addictions you and your friends share?

Thanks for stopping by!
