I’m finally back crafting, although not 100% as still having difficulties. I’ve started to go to a Chiropractor which is helping and provides much needed relief on my back!
I was asked by one of my colleagues to make a new home card. I love it when a Christmas set can be used at different times of year!
The ‘Hometown Greetings’ Edgelit dies are perfect for new home cards, I had this image in my head of one of the house being a different colour to make it stand out and cut one of the houses out separately in silver foil.
I embossed the house images into Smoky Slate cardstock using the Big Shot Embossing mats, fussy cut the house shape, and then aligned them with the cut out image so that the cut out sections showed the Smoky Slate.
As home is where the heart is I cut the heart shapes using the tag die in the ‘Hometown Greetings’ Edgelits, and added them to give the appearance of them coming out of the chimney. The sentiments are from ‘Balloon Celebration’ and ‘At Home With You’. I wrapped some Braided Linen Thread around the card base which I had stuck some Wood Textures DSP to and then stuck the main image on top.
I hope you like today’s creation, I’m hoping I’ll be back to regular crafting and blogging from now on, provided I can hold my paper snips!
Thanks for stopping by!
